Job Title: Textiles Assessor
Department: Skill Assessment and Certification
Location: All States in India
Reports to: Head of Operations
Job Summary:
The Textiles Assessor plays a crucial role in evaluating and assessing the skills of individuals in the textiles sector as per the guidelines set by the Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The primary responsibility is to conduct fair and comprehensive skill assessments to ensure candidates meet the required standards for certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Skill Assessments:
- Administer skill assessments in accordance with the Ministry’s guidelines for the textiles sector.
- Evaluate candidates on various aspects, including but not limited to weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing, and quality control.
Develop Assessment Tools:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and refine assessment tools.
- Stay updated on industry trends and standards to ensure assessments align with current practices.
Provide Constructive Feedback:
- Deliver constructive feedback to candidates, highlighting areas for improvement and offering guidance on skill enhancement.
Maintain Records:
- Keep accurate records of assessment results and provide timely reports to the relevant authorities.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of assessment data.
Stay Informed:
- Stay abreast of advancements in the textiles industry to update assessment criteria accordingly.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance personal and professional skills.
Compliance:
- Adhere to all guidelines and regulations set forth by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
- Ensure assessments are conducted in a fair and unbiased manner.
Continuous Improvement:
- Provide input on the enhancement of assessment processes.
- Participate in regular reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall skill assessment framework.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the textiles industry, with a minimum of 2 Years.
- Certification in assessment or a related field is desirable.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of textiles manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Strong analytical and observational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback in a positive and encouraging manner.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Proficient in the use of assessment tools and technology.
